A nutrient is a substance used by an organism to survive, grow, and reproduce and hence, to ensure whether you or your loved ones are getting the necessary intake of essential minerals, vitamins and other necessary nutrients the Dietary Supplements has come a long way out. Nutrients can be incorporated into cells for metabolic purposes or excreted by cells to create non-cellular structures, such as hair, scales, feathers, or exoskeletons. Some nutrients can be metabolically converted to smaller molecules in the process of releasing energy, such as for carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and fermentation products (ethanol or vinegar), leading to end-products of water and carbon dioxide. These deficiencies can be due to a number of causes including an inadequacy in nutrient intake, or conditions that interfere with the utilization of a nutrient within an organism. Nowadays with such a busy and hectic work schedule individual’s usually miss the essential nutrients required for normal physiological function that cannot be synthesized in the body – either at all or in sufficient quantities – and thus must be obtained from a dietary source.

Products for nutritional supplements come in the form of tablets, capsules, soft gels, gummies, liquids, and powders. The segment growth is primarily driven by gummy products, which are continuing to expand into all supplement categories. Protein powder is another segment experiencing healthy growth, from sports nutritional products to meal replacement and weight management solutions.

The dietary supplement and healthy food and beverage markets are flush with great products, making it increasingly difficult for brands to communicate the unique attributes that set their products apart from the competition. While designing the packaging for the supplement market the single biggest challenge is to create a unique selling proposition which can convey the benefits of your product to the society. Packaging Design process should be appealing enough that even the glimpse of your design portrays the right information in the minds of the customer.

b.) Informative Design

All the information of your product should be labeled well on the design. Because before having any dietary supplement product the customers prefer to know the ingredients used and benefits of the intake of that product.

c.) Emerge with cost-effective designs

The most cost-effective design is to be creative in your approach to using stock packaging so that the end product feels very much like custom-designed packaging.
